Last Eyak speaker dies

Marie Smih Jones who died aged 89 in Anchorage, Alaska was the last fluent Eyak speaker.
She compiled an Eyak dictionary and a grammer guide as well as a book of Eyak stories.

The Eyaks occupied 300 miles of Alaska from Prince William Sound to the Copper River Delta.
